Water puddles on top of them, so you end up tracking more water into your house even after it stops raining. Also no channels on the underside to let water run off the stairs. Better for dry climates than for Seattle

These cobblestones were used to cover in bare ground where my dog's had made a path. I have four dogs who like to run around in the back yard and they have certain ways they run in the yard. Cobblestone looks a lot better than bare dirt.
